Forensic Science staff are involved in legal cases where fingerprinting, ballistics or analysis of soles and tools is required. In addition, specialised DNA staff administer the national DNA database.
In addition to tasks such as analysing and processing seals, these specialists also work on research projects and service improvements.
They play an active role in international working groups and are in regular contact with investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department, the judicial authorities and external laboratories.
