
The Law of 22 December 2006 prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 16 years stipulates:
"In all drinking establishments, shops and public places, it is prohibited to sell or offer free of charge any alcoholic beverages or mixed drinks containing more than 1.2% alcohol by volume to minors under the age of 16 years, whether to be consumed on site or to take away. Any violation of this law is punishable by a fine of between €251 and €1,000."
