The next big Police Day will take place on Sunday, 8 June 2025 in Redange-sur-Attert.
Starting at 10 a.m., visitors will have the opportunity to discover all aspects of law enforcement and get an exclusive glimpse into the world and profession of police officers at a large site at the entrance to the town, near the school complex, the public swimming pool and shopping centre.
The programme includes demonstrations, information stands, exhibitions of police equipment and vehicles, and activities for the whole family, with a focus on the Luxembourg Police, including:
- Parade of service vehicles
- Demonstration by the Special police unit
- Demonstration by the K9 unit
- Demonstration of public order enforcement
- Demonstrations by the Self-Defence Club and the Martial Arts and Karate-Defence School
- Exhibition of service vehicles
In addition to this, traffic instructors will take young visitors on a bike ride to teach them the basic rules of the road. The programme for young visitors on Police Day will also include a laser shooting workshop, face painting and a stand where visitors can make their own police badge.
Visitors will also be able to experience a police intervention through VR headsets.
Recruitment will also play a central role during Police Day. At the Recruitment Centre, anyone interested will have the opportunity to talk to our recruitment team and officers in the field about jobs and career opportunities within the police force. In the context of police recruitment, a course representing the physical test of the competitive examination will be set up on site, allowing interested parties to test their abilities.
Other stands on police work, the different units within the police force and crime prevention complete the Police Day programme. The Police Museum and the International Police Association will also be present.
Various Luxembourg partners, such as the CGDIS, the Army, the Prison Administration, the Customs and Excise Agency and BeeSecure, will also be present. As a sign of good cooperation with foreign police forces, representatives from the Belgian, French and German police will also be in attendance.
Finally, there will be a catering area with food stalls.
