The following are considered firearms:
- pistols;
- revolvers;
- alarm and signal pistols;
- hunting and sporting rifles;
- military rifles;
- and their ammunition.
Pursuant to Luxembourg legislation, a ministerial licence is required to possess and carry these weapons.
During transport, each weapon (modern or antique firearm or non-firearm) must be unloaded and packaged so there is no indication it is a weapon.
