The ‘Alarmis’ system is a service offered by ‘Post Luxembourg’, which, for its part, guarantees the transmission of alarms to one or more service providers via the Post network.
Under certain conditions, transmission to the national police intervention centre is possible. A risk assessment by the Police is required beforehand to determine whether the object or person in question is exposed to a particular risk.
Connection options and technical conditions
The system must be compatible with the technical requirements of the Post Office. A distinction is made between two types of alarm that can be connected to the ‘Alarmis’ system:
- Active type: the alarm is not triggered automatically, but a manipulation by the customer must be done to trigger it, e.g. by a push button.
- Passive type: any other type of alarm that is triggered automatically, e.g. by a motion detector or after an intrusion.
