The figures provided in the reports and documents reflect the number of criminal offences and crimes recorded by the police within a specific geographical area and over a defined period of time. They encompass incidents that may be classified as criminal offences and do not reflect the number of criminal offences that have been prosecuted. They therefore merely indicate trends.
The total number of criminal offences recorded by police units is published annually in the Police’s annual report, which can be downloaded from the Police’s website: https://police.public.lu/fr/votre-police/rapports-activite.html.
