In October 2018, the Police adopted a new visual identity. After 18 years, this rebranding was necessary in order to update the positioning of the Police and show its new face in line with the changes made since the Police reform which came into effect on 1 August 2018.
The Police logo is modern and dynamic. The lion – the emblem of Luxembourg – is embellished with a red arrow and a blue arrow, which together form the colours of the national flag.
The logo is accompanied by the name "Police Lëtzebuerg" and the slogan "ZESUMME FIR IECH" (TOGETHER FOR YOU), to show the central position held by the Police at the heart of society. The name "Grand-Ducal Police" is retained in official texts.
The emblem is used on Police uniforms.
This new approach places police officers at the service of the public - accessible, open and accountable.
The new Police branding, developed by the agency Quattro Creative Group following competitive tendering, has attracted international recognition, including the famous German Design Award 2020.
